Wow! Things have changed quite a bit for the Boston sports scene in just one short year. The Red Sox just won there 2nd World Series Championship in 4 years. The Patriots are 9-0 and look unstoppable. Even the New England Revolution are in the MLS Championship game and from what I've heard (I can't confirm since I don't know if the NHL is still a league), the Bruins are off to a decent start this season as well. The Boston Sports Renaissance is officially upon us!
The Celtics are still undefeated (they just beat the Nets last night to make them 5-0 on the season) and they look to be one of the best teams in the NBA already. In just a short period of time, they went from one of the worst teams in the league to one of the strongest and most talented. Garnett, Pierce and Allen are all playing together as if they had been on the same team for the past 5 years. The chemistry is unbelievable and the winning attitude has worked it's way down to the end of the bench. Every one on this team has a little extra swagger and confidence about them which hasn't been seen since the 80's. Although they made it to the Eastern Conference Championship in 2002, there still hasn't been this much buzz about the team in over 20 years.

Opening Night for the Boston Celtics 2007-2008 Season is here! I have not been this excited for a Celtics game since for years and didn't think it was possible to feel like this about a regular season game. It seems like the possibilities are endless with this team and I can't wait to watch them play at full force in a game that finally matters. I may do a season preview but you can always find that at other sites like www.CelticsBlog.com.
What I wanted to do was give you something a little bit different to preview this one particular game, so I decided to run a simulation with NBA Live 08 as I do for the Patriots using Madden 08. The results were fantastic and there were some pretty cool highlights along the way. Just take a close look at how Garnett, Pierce and Allen shoot in the game. All of their shots are almost dead on when compared to the real thing. Allen has a quick release, Garnett shoots it high above his head and Pierce has the smooth release.
